What V4.2 improves
Two jumper-cap groups let the pendant swap UART RX and TX without re-pinning the cable.
Normal browser installation no longer requires the old hold-BOOT-and-release sequence.
An added protection layer supports safer battery installation; polarity must still be checked.
The printable V02 case adds the updated battery-area cover while the original V01 files remain available.
Group 1 is the default direction; Group 2 swaps RX and TX. Move jumpers only with all power removed.

Use ESP3D over Wi-Fi for the primarily maintained PiBot workflow, or FluidDial over ESP-NOW for the alternative open-source interface.
No. Current wireless operation uses Wi-Fi or ESP-NOW, and those older modules are not included in V4.2 shipments.
The cell may remain physically in the holder only when the side battery switch is down and keeps it electrically disconnected.
Do not assume so. A cable may fit physically while using a different contact order. Use the approved PiBot RJ12 cable.
No. Use an undamaged flat-top cell with correct polarity. PiBot uses Sony VTC5/VTC6 cells for testing.
Use the complete manual and the exact controller model's Pinout/RJ12 page. Do not copy GPIO settings between different boards.

The pre-2026-08-13 product documentation remains available for earlier packages, external Bluetooth modules and old firmware procedures. New V4.2 customers should use the current manual above.
